Help LWC In The Fight Against Breast Cancer!

Life Wellness Center is proud to help in the fight against breast cancer by donating to a very special team of women who will be walking the 60-mile walk on August 21st - 23rd.
Please help them achieve their goal in donations and continue to support them through their web site.
The Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk is August 21st – 23rd.
Their efforts will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Individually the 3-woman team needs to raise $2300 and, as a team, they've set a goal to raise $7000 – they are a little over half to their team goal. If someone wants to donate, there are 3 easy ways to do so:
- Online: Go to www.the3day.org. Select Donate and search for Angela Collignon or Lisa Vander Loop.
- In-person: Write a check made payable to “Breast Cancer 3-Day” and give to the Front Desk at Life Wellness Center.
- Phone: You can call 800.996.3DAY to donate over the phone.
If a company would like to sponsor them, they will include their company logo on their t-shirts.
A message from Team: 'Back Our Racks';
Join us on an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. For a fundraiser, we are also “selling” spots on our t-shirts. If you have someone you would like us to walk in memory of, in support for, or in honor of and donate $100 or more, we will include their name on the back of our t-shirts. Or if you choose to just donate $100 or more, we will include your name as a “Top Donor”. If you would like to participate, make a note of the individuals name along with the spot you are "buying" in the personal note section when you make your donation. We appreciate all of your support, we could not be doing this without your help!

LWC has gone DIGITAL!

You don't need a converter box. You don't need HDTV. All you need is a skeleton. Life Wellness Center once again has state-of-the-art technology with new digital x-ray processing. If you are a new patient to Life Wellness Center, prepare to be impressed with the crisp, clear and accurate scan of your body. Even if you have already had x-rays done, stop in and see this impressive piece of equipment designed to give our patients the best for their health and wellness.

Zyto is Neat-O!

Life Wellness Center now has ZYTO technology!

(From www.zyto.com:)
How does the technology work?
"In the most basic terms, ZYTO technology uses quantum physics as well as established Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) technology to measure fluctuations in electrical conductivity of the skin. A client places their hand on the hand cradle, the ZYTO software sends stimuli to the body using digital signatures that represent actual things, and the fluctuations in GSR are measured and interpreted. The response helps the practitioner to see how the body responds to the items being assessed, which ones it prefers, and how much it prefers them. This knowledge is used by healthcare practitioners to maximize their results by helping them choose the right solution for their clients at the right time."

Are the results accurate?
Yes. ZYTO practitioners have performed tens of thousands of assessments worldwide.
Practitioners have also used other modalities to evaluate the results of their ZYTO software
with great results. Recently, a hospital study was conducted that showed a 95.2% correlation
between the results of ZYTO’s technology and the recommendations of the doctor.

How can I experience this amazing technology?
ZYTO currently offers two professional systems that are available to certified health professionals as well as a new system that is available for consumers to buy. The best way for non-certified individuals to experience the power of the professional systems would be to schedule an assessment with any of the hundreds of health professionals who use ZYTO’s technology in their clinics throughout the world (such as Life Wellness Center).

Are the results reproducible?
One of the most common questions that arises as people are getting to know the technology and how it works, is why the actual data from the scans changes from one assessment to another. As a matter of fact, because of what we are measuring, we don’t expect reproducibility. ZYTO technology measures the most rapidly changing field in the body, the energetic field, which processes 400 million impulses of information per second. When dealing with complex mindmatter systems repeatable measurements are not expected. Instead you look for patterns and trends.

Are there any research studies on the technology?
There are myriad studies that have been conducted over the last century on GSR and its
use in measuring the body’s reaction to stimuli. In addition, several independent studies have
been conducted by health professionals using ZYTO’s technology.

Can the technology be used to treat or diagnose?
ZYTO technology is not designed to treat or diagnose. It is a tool designed to assist the
healthcare practitioner in finding the body’s preferences for any list of items. This information
is invaluable in helping the practitioner determine which product is going to maximize therapeutic results for the client.

Do you have FDA approval?
ZYTO’s technology does not qualify as a medical device and therefore does not require FDA
Approval. We are always reviewing the changes in the industries and the laws of the countries
we operate in to remain in compliance.

Oink-oink!

(Adapted from an article by Bill Esteb)

"Even though I no longer follow the media's interpretation of reality, even a quick glance, long enough to identify that the airport's monitors are tuned to CNN, reveals the latest fear mongering: swine flu. How delicious. On top of the financial "slipping and checking" that has infatuated the media, they can now fill the airwaves with something even scarier: an infectious disease. This is what advertising executives dream of, bent on reaching as many eyeballs as possible.
I don't give the medical-industrial-media complex enough credit for some type of conspiracy. This is merely their worldview, played out on glowing phosphorous screens around the world. As usual, their perspective turns everyone into a potential victim and little is done to put the current outbreak into perspective. Like virtually every other threat, armies are gathering for the obligatory "War on Swine Flu."
You and I know it won't work. Even if it appears to work, it won't work.
The War on Swine flu (or whatever politically correct name the symptoms the virus produces this week is called) will be about as successful as the War on Terror, the War on Cancer and the War on Ingrown Toenails. Going to war makes it appear that someone is doing something. Yet in this situation, going to war will not likely prolong the outbreak, but produce collateral damage and increase needless suffering--whether emotional or physical.
This particular virus is not a problem or an enemy. Neither was SARS, bird flu or any of the other more recent communicable diseases that have captured the attention of the media. As the father of the germ theory, Louis Pasteur observed on his deathbed, "It is the soil, not the seed." In other words, it's not the germ, it's the host; it's not the invader, it's one's resistance. Ironically, an individual's resistance is probably compromised by the worry and emotional stress of news reports that record the death toll and the enemy's movements! (Not to mention the heightened awareness of people coughing in their proximity.)
The current media reports provide a helpful backdrop for some patient education--namely our culture's fascination with germs. There is a connection between the nervous system and the immune system. When diminished by vertebral subluxation, the nervous system can have a dampening effect on the workings of the immune system. In fact, most of us can recall getting a cold or some other illness immediately following periods of stress, sleep deprivation or the "let down" after taking an important test or completing a big project. Turns out, the best defense is a good offense. One more reason why regular chiropractic checkups, even when you're feeling great, make sense.
If every patient were aware of the millions of successes their immune system is having by neutralizing a host of germs and microbes all day long, there would be less focus on its occasional oversight and a renewed focus on what can be done to bolster it. At its root, is a fundamental mistrust of the body and a mentality that would prefer to fight rather than strengthen, treat rather than create health and fear rather than understand. The only pandemic we have is one of ignorance and personal responsibility."

LWC invades the South!

A small group from Life Wellness Center recently attended a seminar in Dallas, Texas. While the intention of the event is to learn new and exciting information to bring back to the clinic in Lakeville, we are not without a bit of "group bonding" after full days of seminars to relieve a little stress.

Dr. Tom, Karen, Deb, Tom J. and Jeff at Gilley's Bar for some refreshments, dancing and to ride the mechanical bull! ENJOY!!!

(Press the "Play" arrow and turn up the volume!)

'Stress' a Success!

(click picture to enlarge)

A BIG "thank you" to everyone who was able to make it out to our 3rd of three free seminars regarding our 'Triad of Health' logo. It was our largest turn-out for an internal seminar so far! Unfortunately, it's a sign that stress affects all of us.
Also, a very special "thank you" to Debbie Scheide for hosting our event. She did a fantastic job.
If you have any questions regarding any of our 'Triad of Health' seminars or suggestions for future seminars, please feel free to contact Jeff Guille at: 952-435-5300 or jeffguille@lifewellnesscenter.net

STRESS: How It Affects Your Health.

Mental - Emotional - Spiritual

Join us for a FREE seminar!
Depression, divorce, bankruptcy, foreclosure and even suicide are all very serious situations that many people may be facing in difficult times such as these. From the stress of the economy with threatened or lost jobs, to the struggles that may be happening in your personal life. How do you handle your stress? Who do you look to for help in times of struggle? We may be able to provide you with a sense of direction.

She also has a private practice in Burnsville, an instructor at Bethel University in the Psychology Department and has been in practice for 12 years.

This seminar is planned to be our BIGGEST yet, so please R.S.V.P. us to reserve your spot by Wednesday, April 22nd either by calling us at 952-435-5300, signing up at our Front Desk, or by emailing us at jeffguille@lifewellnesscenter.net.
